The British Business Bank is the UK government’s economic development bank. Established in November 2014, its mission is to drive sustainable growth and prosperity across the UK and to enable the transition to a net zero economy, by improving access to finance for smaller businesses. Its remit is to design, deliver and efficiently manage UK-wide smaller business access to finance programmes for the UK government.
Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES)

Founded in 1952, BNDES offers several financial support mechanisms to Brazilian companies of all sizes, as well as to public administration entities, enabling investments in all economic sectors.
BNDES provides long-term financing and equity, in addition to supporting companies that contribute to economic and social development.

Since 2012, Bpifrance has been financing and supporting businesses – at every stage of their development – with credit, guarantees, innovation aid and equity capital. In doing so, Bpifrance acts in support of public policies led by the State and the Regions. Bpifrance supports them in their development, ecological and energy transition, innovation and international projects.
Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)

Founded in 1944, BDC helps create and develop strong Canadian businesses through financing, advisory services and capital, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. BDC supports entrepreneurs in all industries and at all stages of development from business centres across Canada and complements the role played by private-sector financial institutions.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP)

Founded in 1850, CDP fosters sustainable development in Italy, using savings responsibly to support growth and boost employment, supporting innovation, business competitiveness, infrastructure and local development. CDP supports the development of the Italian entrepreneurial fabric by offering integrated financing, equity and advisory services.

Since 2014, the objective of the Development Bank of Nigeria is to alleviate financing constraints faced by MSMEs and small Corporates in Nigeria through the provision of financing and partial credit guarantees to eligible financial intermediaries on a market-conforming and fully financially sustainable basis.

Founded in 1999 and owned by the State of Finland, Finnvera’s vision – Finnvera clients’ success strengthens the Finnish economy – is at the center of its strategy along with impact. The goal is to ensure that with the help of its financing, its customers create and achieve financial results and create new jobs.
Established in 2003, The Hellenic Development Bank aims to promote the fair, sustainable and holistic development of the economy at regional and national level. The main mission of the organization is to support micro, small and medium enterprises by facilitating their access to funding sources to address and cover any market failures.

Nacional Financiera (NAFIN)

Founded in 1934, Nafin’s mission is to contribute to the economic development of the country by facilitating access for MSMEs, entrepreneurs and priority investment projects to financing and other business development services, as well as contributing to the formation of financial markets and acting as a fiduciary and financial agent of the Federal Government.
Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF)

Founded in 1974, Saudi Industrial Development Fund is the primary financial enabler for the industrial transformation in Saudi Arabia. SIDF’s mandate revolves around industrial development and within that there are four main industries or sectors, which are manufacturing, mining, energy, and logistics.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI)

Founded in 1990, Small Industries Development Bank of India is mandated to serve as the Principal Financial Institution for executing the triple agenda of promotion, financing and development of the MSME sector and coordination of the functions of the various institutions engaged in similar activities.

Tamwilcom also promotes financial inclusion and development, and contributes to economic development.
Wallonie Entreprendre

Wallonie Entreprendre aims to support the entrepreneurial fabric in order to stimulate value creation in Wallonia (Belgium). It supports the growth of companies with a view to creating long-term jobs, added value and sustainability and identifies emerging and innovative sectors that respond to current and future challenges, such as energy transition and digital transformation.
