Chief Economists Share Forecasts for 2023
This week, the Chief Economists of The Montreal Group joined the first virtual roundtable of the year, to continue discussing the macroeconomic situation in their countries and their forecasts for 2023.
Despite challenges related to the war in Ukraine, inflation, and the energy crisis, expectations were fairly optimistic.
We had representatives from BDC (Canada), Bpifrance (France), British Business Bank (UK), CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (Italy), Finnvera Oyj (Finland), Nacional Financiera, SNC (Mexico), Saudi Industrial Development Fund – SIDF (Saudi Arabia), and Wallonie Entreprendre (Belgium).
The Secretariat of TMG and representatives from BDC and Bpifrance also shared the details for the next publication to be made by the group, a paper on impact measurement.
