Membership Benefits

We aim to provide a global collaborative podium where members can share and exchange best-in-class knowledge on important MSME-related topics, with the goal of helping MSMEs make a vital contribution to economic development.

Members of The Montreal Group reap many benefits. Besides being a member of the only global forum dedicated exclusively to public MSME banks, the Group offers the following advantages:

  • Improves clients’ offering through a focused exchange on best practices and knowledge sharing on key MSME-related topics
  • Contributes to member organizations’ internal operational efficiencies
  • Supports members in their strategic planning
  • Equips members to better respond to stakeholders and crisis situations
  • Inspires via in-depth benchmark to develop innovative products
  • Provides thought leadership, namely by means of collaborative white papers
  • Offers global perspective and invaluable international networking with peers
  • Offers unique opportunities for CEOs to meet with their peers

Most public MSME banks are members of various national, regional and international associations (NEFI, ADFIAP, ALIDE, EAPB, CAIBA, etc.), that serve specialized needs. However, before the creation of The Montreal Group, there was no global forum exclusively dedicated to public MSME banks from around the world.
