The Montreal Group meets the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)

Our Secretary-General and BDC executives met with the IFRS Foundation and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) last week. These two institutions are at the heart of the operations to open the Montreal center of the new International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). We look forward to joining efforts in support of SMEs and the sustainable finance ecosystem.

About the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)

International investors are increasingly calling for high-quality, transparent, reliable and comparable reporting by companies on climate and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.

Founded in November 2021, the ISSB will deliver a comprehensive global baseline of sustainability-related disclosure standards that provide investors and other capital market participants with information about companies’ sustainability-related risks and opportunities to help them make informed decisions.
