The Sustainability Experts Group Gathered in Paris!
The two days were packed with insightful discussions aimed at supporting SMEs in their sustainability journey. On November 4th, TMG members had the pleasure of attending the 3rd edition of the OECD Platform on Financing SMEs for Sustainability. On November 5th, TMG’s Sustainability Experts met at Bpifrance to continue exchanging on solutions and new ways of supporting SME sustainability.
Key highlights included:
- A presentation by Orestis Velentzas (Climate Mitigation and Banking lead, UNEP FI) who debriefed TMG members on one of their latest guidance reports on how banks can align their operations with climate mitigation and move towards net zero.
- A discussion with two Bpifrance entrepreneurs who shared how they became more sustainable with the help of Bpifrance.
- A member roundtable where participants updated each other on recent successful sustainability-related solutions
- A session on gathering data from SMEs in collaboration with Miriam Koreen (Senior Counsellor on SMEs, OECD) and Marija Kuzmanovic (Policy Analyst and Project Coordinator, OECD)
