TMG is currently in Rabat, Morocco for its 2025 Annual Summit
Today’s program brought forward a series of impactful conversations and expert insights through the following sessions:
- “Let’s Talk Morocco”: An overview of the Moroccan economy and business context by l’Agence Marocaine de Développement des investissements et des Exportations (AMDIE), including a spotlight on Tamwilcom and the journey of Lamacom – a Moroccan business that is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and retailing of kitchenware and tableware in Morocco.
- Two dynamic plenary sessions featuring in-depth discussions between members and leading international experts on the following key topics:
- “Resilience in an Unpredictable World”: During this session participants discussed what makes economies and Public Development Banks (PDBs) resilient. The session was moderated by William Polushin, Head of Operations at TMG, and featured Mrs. Ismini Papakirillou, Chief Executive Officer of the Hellenic Development Bank as a keynote speaker, and TMG members Dr. Tony Okpanachi, Managing Director/CEO at DBN, Diane Lafontaine, Chief Strategy Officer at BDC, and Hanna Alalääkkölä, Head of Business Development Operations, Finnvera as panelists
- “Market Diversification”: This session explored the evolving landscape of global trade and the strategic role of Public Development Banks (PDBs) in strengthening national economies. Moderated by Karen Kastner, Secretary General at TMG, the discussion brought together Michael McAdoo, Partner and Director of Global Trade & Investment at Boston Consulting Group as keynote speaker, alongside TMG members Danya Al Abandi, Economy Analyst at SIDF, Gilles Le Cocguen, Director, Head of EuroQuity at Bpifrance, and Andrea Montanino, Sector Strategy and Impact Director at CDP as panelists, who shared insights and experiences from their respective institutions.
- A workshop and subsequent group discussion where TMG members built on the insights of the plenary sessions to exchange on how TMG could be best leveraged by its members to facilitate resilience and market diversification for SMEs.
